Dodd Ferrelle is solo no more. After a brief break from his last band, the Tinfoils Stars, during which we saw the release of 3 critically acclaimed solo albums including 2011’s "Hide The World" described as "the best record we've heard in the last 10 years" by Rapid River Magazine, Dodd Ferrelle is back in a band. The band has dropped Ferrelle’s name altogether and simply goes by March! March consists of Marcus Thompson (guitar), longtime friend and collaborator Tim Adams (bass/vocals), Taylor Sproull (drums), Adam Poulin (fiddle) and Ferrelle (gtrs./vocals). March recently finished up their first record as a band, sharing songwriting duties equally among all five members and enlisting the legendary John Keane to produce what would become “Sharing Umbrellas”. The band's sound is a uniquely orchestrated mixture of duel guitar/fiddle that they like to call Sonic Americana Pop. “Sharing Umbrellas” was released March 15th, 2014 on Two Sheds Music.
Big Book News!! Dodd has been nominated for the 2014 Georgia Author of the
Year in children's books for "If You Were A Jelly Bean". "If You Were
Jelly Bean" is an interactive conversation between parent and child and
meant to be completed together as a learning tool for each. Dodd's wife
Cameron illustrated the book beautifully and is winning rave reviews for
her classic paintings.
